ENDURING PAIN

This World was cursed the moment
The forbidden fruit was eaten by the first parent
The entire creation groans for deliverance
From pain and suffering it seeks independence

Dear Friend, as Christians even though our sins are forgiven
In this World, we have our share of pains brought forth by World’s leaven,
When problems come searching and troubles make you reel
Depend on the crucified ONE who went through it all and knows how you feel

His power in the midst of tribulations will sustain
From grumbling and self-pity, please refrain
Let the World in you His power witness
Even as suffering you in faith, His Divine power harness

He who knows your weak frame, knows also how much you can endure
He will be right there beside you, let me assure
He will never allow you to suffer beyond your capacity
So continue to brave all odds with pugnacity

Folks, if not for Divine light which in my dark painful times shone,
This poem would not have been born in the heart of one who has many persecutions borne,
So be assured, straight from horse’s mouth comes this testimony
Of Divine comfort in the moments of agony

Praise God, there will come a time in eternity,
When there would be no agony in the Heavenly fraternity
In faith let’s wait for that blessed time to come,
Even as we walk steadfastly towards our celestial home
